San Antonio, TX – June 27, 2008 - RE/MAX of Texas has announced that RE/MAX Associates - Boerne Sales Associate Kathy Morse – the Morse Team, has been named an Agent of the Quarter.  With over 20 years experience in real estate, Kathy Morse of the Morse Team claims she only stumbled on real estate as a career choice in 1989. “My children were grown and out of the house, and I had enjoyed buying and selling homes during their childhood,” she says. “I had previously worked as a dental assistant and was looking for a new career. Real estate just caught my interest after Isaw an ad in the newspaper looking for Realtors.”

Moving forward with a strong set of goals, Kathy was licensed and began at Century 21, training and learning the industry ropes. “I loved the diversity of homes and finding the perfect match for my client,” Kathy continues. “My goal from the beginning had been to get some training under my belt and become a top producer, then to move my business to RE/MAX so I could be 100% self-employed.”

Kathy respected RE/MAX for its international marketing and global recognition. “When people around the world think about real estate, they think of RE/MAX. It’s not just local; it’s everywhere,” she says. “The advertising and promotions, like the ARCA Racing Series, Long Drivers Competition, CMN and Komen for the Cure all advance the brand.” Kathy joined RE/MAX in 1994 and knew she had made the right choice from the first day.

“On my first day at RE/MAX, I was assigned to the first shift of floor time. In four hours I took three calls and ended up with three clients that I got under contract,” Kathy relates. “It was amazing to have something like that on my first day. My business has been steady ever since.” Kathy’s business became so steady that by 2005 she needed to form a team to help her maintain the more than 15 listings she was juggling. Her daughter Carley joined Kathy as an assistant and became an Accredited Buyer’s Representative two years ago when their listings climbed to upwards of 30.

What’s Kathy’s secret? She is a strong believer in visualization and positive thought. “I see the success I want,” she says. “If I want 20 listings, I will go buy 20 yard signs. Sure enough, those 20 listings will come in no time.” When not in the office, Kathy loves following the San Antonio Spurs, and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Above all, she enjoys spending time with five children and 12 grandchildren, whom she considers her real hobby.
