It may be hard to imagine that Mark Mahler, a native Texan who has lived nearly all his life in the temple area, could have once been hesitant to get involved in real estate. “In the beginning, it seemed like everyone and their dog was in real estate,” states Mark. “But I decided to give it a try rather than be condemned to a life inside a cubicle.”

Today, Mark is a member of the RE/MAX Chairman’s Club, has been named ‘Realtor of the Year’ by his local Home Builder’s Association for five of the past six years, and has been one of the Top 20 RE/MAX® agents in Texas for the past three years.

A graduate of Baylor University and a Realtor for the last seven years, Mark has spent his entire career with RE/MAX. “One of the smartest things I did when starting out was to interview with all the top offices in town before choosing RE/MAX,” says Mark. “It was clear that RE/MAX would be my best opportunity for growth and success and I haven’t regretted my decision for a moment.” Prior to entering the real estate industry, Mark worked as a Marketing Communications Director for a software company, but felt he was not cut out for a corporate life.

Now Mark handles primarily residential real estate with an emphasis on high-end and lot sales. “Our market has the highest number of physicians per capita in the U.S.,” continues Mark. “They are always looking for homes and ranches.” Mark credits his success in this field to the support of a good family and a good family name, as well as his faith in God and excellent service to his clients.

When not hard at work, Mark makes time for the community by raising corporate funds for the local Hope Pregnancy Center. In the future he would like to structure his business so that he can spend more time with his growing family, currently consisting of his wife and three children.
