RE/MAX of Texas has announced that Edie Hanna has named 'Agent of the Quarter'.Speaking with RE/MAX of Cleburne Sales Associate Edie Hanna about her career might provoke the question “Edie, when do you sleep?” A top producer who involves herself in numerous community and industry organizations, Edie follows the mottos of “put yourself out there”.

On the verge of having her fourth child in 1984, Edie went into real estate part time with Linda and James Wright of Wright Realty. Edie immediately took to real estate, especially farm and ranch sales. “I had a friend who owned a ranch property and when I became a Realtor, he invited me to his home to familiarize me with farm and ranch property,” Edie recalls. “I actually went into labor as he was showing me his property, which frightened him to say the least!” A few weeks later, Edie took her newborn baby to her first closing.

Following a divorce some years later, Edie left real estate and went back to a former career selling packing products for her brother. When Linda and James Wright opened RE/MAX of Cleburne in 1999, Edie understood that if she were to be a RE/MAX Agent, she must go full time. In 2003, she made the leap and joined the office, enjoying idea of the 100% maximum commission model and the office camaraderie. “We have a very strong presence in Cleburne and are always kept busy. Linda and James really help their agents get their business up and running. Since I grew up in Cleburne, I know a lot of people, but I still advertise my business all the time.”

Edie sold $3 million in real estate her first year with RE/MAX and has done progressively better each year, consistently earning RE/MAX 100% Club status. “The support we get from RE/MAX is incredible. I get out-of-state calls from people moving to Cleburne that sold their house through RE/MAX and now only want to work with a RE/MAX Agent,” she says. Ultimately, Edie would like to walk across the stage at the RE/MAX Statewide Convention as a Platinum Club award recipient. Last year, she was selected as the Johnson County Board of Realtors “Realtor of the Year”.

Edie’s work does not stop with RE/MAX. She is currently the Secretary of the Treasury for the Johnson County Board of Realtors and the Chairwoman of the TREPAC Committee. Edie works with the local Garden Club and Heritage Assembly, raising money for Johnson County social and educational programs, child advocacy and city amenities. “All of these things help in business,” she amiably answers. “It gets you out there and gets you giving back.”
