Darlene Jones joined RE/MAX North San Antonio IV in July of 2006 and her career has sky rocketed ever since. Holding a Master’s Degree in Speech/Language Pathology and Audiology, Darlene decided to pursue real estate following her daughter’s serious illness.

“When my daughter was sick, I wasn’t able to be with her because of my work,” says Darlene, who worked as a Speech Language Pathologist for 15 years. “I had worked in apartment leasing in college and decided to seriously pursue real estate so that I had the freedom to be with my children if something like this happened again.”

Starting in January of 2006, Darlene began taking online classes at night to earn her license. Later that year, she became an Associate at RE/MAX North San Antonio and feels it was the best decision she ever made. “I knew people from RE/MAX North San Antonio and have always respected their professionalism and character,” says Darlene. “I underwent a lot of training to prepare myself for real estate and it’s all been invaluable.”

Since joining the office, Darlene has taken Brian Buffini’s 100 Days to Greatness and Peak Performance. “These courses really helped me with the basics and taught me exactly what I needed to do to really get started in this business and be successful at it. It provides a strong foundation of knowledge that my clients will need from me.” Darlene hopes to continue her education and earn her ABR, CRS and GRI.

When not working hard for her clients or educating herself further, Darlene is across the map with her church on mission trips. In the past, she has taken mission trips to Honduras and Piedres Negras.  She has also devoted time to volunteering at a crisis pregnancy center in San Marcos.  She loves the fact that her new career with RE/MAX® will allow her the freedom to pursue these passions and devote more time to her three children, Rebecca, Hayden and Ethan Jr.
