Freshly licensed in March 2007, Becky Bailey of RE/MAX Masters is already bound for great success. By the end of June, she will have over $1 Million dollars in transactions ready to domino. Becky is a Jacksonville native, long time resident and successful local business woman whose family has been in the area for generations. “Being born and raised in a small town means that everyone knows you,” says Becky. “That is a huge advantage for your business.”
A graduate of A& M University in Psychology with a minor in Sociology (disciplines which she finds useful in business), Becky formerly owned a successful restaurant in Jacksonville. This hotel/bar/restaurant was converted from a decommissioned Post Office and is on the national registry of historic homes.
“I knew I wanted her on our team and she was excited about the possibility of the real estate industry, but a little hesitant to jump in,” says RE/MAX Masters Broker/Owner Phil Shinalt. “So I had her take the free PowerStart class offered by RE/MAX of Texas and followed it up with a Peak Performance class. That did the trick.” Taking these courses in her first two weeks with RE/MAX Masters, Becky felt she had a solid foundation for starting off in real estate. “They are great seminars and hugely informative about the right way to do things,” proclaims Becky, who now has six transactions in the works.
Jacksonville, an industrial town with a small population has a tradition of community involvement. Becky honors that tradition by keeping a full calendar. She Chairs the Retail Committee for the Chamber of Commerce, serves on the Board of Directors and has been nominated to serve on the Jacksonville Economic Development Corporation Board of Directors. As a real estate territory, Jacksonville gives agents a lot to work with.
“Jacksonville has much to recommend itself,” states Becky, whose knowledge of the area is invaluable to her clients. “We have 80-90 local industries, a good work force where people aren’t commuting out of town (if anything, they are commuting in), a growing retirement community, beautiful country club and the recreation of nearby Lake Jacksonville and Lake Columbia (currently under construction). So there is a lot worth moving here for.”
