2007 is shaping up to be not just a great year for the RE/MAX Lake Cities associate, but it will also be his 10th anniversary in the business. A former General Manager of a large health and fitness center, Winston holds a degree in Journalism from the University of Georgia. In 1997, he changed career directions, taking all his skills and transferring them over to real estate.
“I saw real estate as an opportunity to apply what I had learned in the areas of sales and management,” says Winston, who was inspired to explore real estate by his father-in-law, a successful Georgia-based broker. “My father-in-law provided me with an excellent example of success. After four years in the business, I saw RE/MAX® as the top of the line in reputation and name recognition; I knew my success would grow exponentially from there.”
The results speak for themselves. Winston has been a member of the RE/MAX Platinum Club for the past three years, and strives to repeat the success a fourth time in 2007. “I owe much to my team. I have fantastic associates, a great assistant and wonderful support from our broker-owners, Sammie and Mike Shield,” continues Winston, whose twin brother Will Hubbard also joined Winston and helps run The Hubbard Team at RE/MAX Lake Cities.
In terms of the future, Winston has his eyes on cultivation. He plans to place more team members into leadership positions to promote independence and greater management skills. “I’d also like to start exploring the growing Hispanic market in Dallas. My assistant, Perla Delgado, is bilingual and about to obtain her agent’s license,” adds Winston. “I’m also looking to obtain my broker’s license. Overall, I look for great things to happen in 2007 for The Hubbard Team.”
