A realtor since 2006, Jennifer McMaster is known to many in San Antonio as the woman responsible (along with many other volunteers) for putting on the RE/MAX San Antonio Golf Tournament, a project that she has been spearheading since 2007, and last year’s Miracle Monster Mash. Before entering into real estate, Jennifer enjoyed a career in hospitality at such hotel companies as Holiday Inn and Marriot as a Director of Sales and Marketing.  She also spent time working for country clubs including The Club at Sonterra, where she was Director of Catering. “I really enjoyed marketing, and leading and motivating a sales team,” she confesses. This enjoyment led her to real estate, where she discovered a true passion.

“I made the leap to real estate when I joined my friend Sheila Moran [Broker/Co-Owner of RE/MAX Access] and her team as a buyers’ agent, says Jennifer. “I really recommend that every new agent start off as a buyers’ agent if they can. You learn so much so quickly. It was a great way to start off my career.” One of the key things that Jennifer learned in that first year is that all transactions are different. “We are in a people business and all people are different,” she says. “It was so valuable to have Sheila with me in that first year. As a veteran real estate professional, she really showed me the ropes.”

Jennifer struck out on her own last year and moved her business over to RE/MAX Preferred. As an independent agent, Jennifer enjoys exploring the listings side of transactions and the challenge of marketing those listings. “My job is still essentially the same in that I’m helping my clients move from one dream to the next,” Jennifer continues. “I work mainly off of referrals, thanks to Brian Buffini and one of my short-term goals is to reach the 100% Club and walk across the stage at the RE/MAX Convention.” Jennifer has attended three RE/MAX Statewide Conventions and finds them to be a gold mine of education and networking.  She also enjoys the tremendous networking opportunities in WCR and other industry groups.  More recently, she has received her Accredited Buyers Representative and Certified Home Marketing Specialist designations and is on her way to completing her GRI.

“My goal is to be a lifetime agent to my clients,” Jennifer concludes. “I want them to come to me for all their real estate and property needs, with everything from when they are ready to buy and sell, to just finding an electrician or landscaper. I believe that if agents approach their business with the intent of making their clients lifelong clients, it will be hard for them to fail.”
