Jan Johnson returned to school for her degree in education, and three years later, she is a successful Sales Associate with RE/MAX All Properties in Lumberton.  A professor recognized Jan’s background in business management, entrepreneurial spirit and natural networking skills, and suggested she go into real estate. 

“I prayed about my decision to go into real estate.  I almost quit after a few months because I took out a bank loan to get started and I was down to my last few hundred dollars.  Debbie, my Broker/Owner, was very supportive and encouraged me to stay.  The next month, I had four sales close, one right after the other!” Jan said of her beginnings.

Most of Jan’s business comes from referrals from previous clients and her church.  While she specializes in residential real estate, her commercial business is growing in Beaumont.  Jan takes pride in listings and showings in Hardin and Mid County, Jasper, Nederland, Lumberton, and the lakes area.  Past transactions include moderately priced house, rural properties and country estates.

The flexible hours strongly appealed to Jan who is dedicated to her three children and volunteers in Little League, the Lumberton schools, Bible School, and other activities in the community.  “I love setting my own hours and I rarely take ‘phone time’ in the office.  New agents need the opportunity to build their business, and RE/MAX All Properties is truly a team effort.  We all have families and support each other whenever help is needed.”
