"Real estate is my history," is how Debbie Anderson of RE/MAX Heritage sums up her career. Licensed in 1977, Debbie got into real estate after becoming a single mother in North Texas and joining Red Carpet Realty. "My parents in Arizona had been Realtors, so I knew plenty about the business already," she says. "I knocked on a lot of doors in the first years, and I couldn't afford to fail." Actually, Debbie did the opposite, closing over $1 million that year, an especially meaningful sum in 1977.
